Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says fans should be excited about imminent new investment.

Pardew has revealed he's been involved with the talks alongside Steve Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer since he became boss back in January.

"This process has been going on for a while with the takeover, in terms of the percentage," Pardew told the Croydon Advertiser.

"I have been involved with the talks since I arrived at Palace.

"It's been made clear and frank to me - I welcome it and I think it would be great for this football club.

"If you look at Steve Parish's record of what he's done here, he's called it right more times than he's got it wrong and that's why we're growing as a club.

"I like to think he's got this right as well. If you're a Crystal Palace fan, this is big news for you."
