Crystal Palace boss Hodgson praises Zaha after Brighton strike

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has praised Wilfried Zaha for his maturity and mental strength after another top performance from the Ivory Coast international.

Zaha saved Palace again when his 76th minute strike tied the scores with Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday.

Speaking after the game, Hodgson said of Zaha: "Wilf is doing extremely well mentally because things happen in the game.

"Taunts form the crowd and little fouls off the ball - which he isn't allowing to upset him as he might have done before."

He added: "I think it's Wilf's third goal in four games. It's something he's worked on and he's shooting an awful lot more than he used to now in training.

"When you have a player like Wilf and a team with guts and determination you always have a chance."
