Crystal Palace are now favouring going into next season with Roy Hodgson in charge.
The veteran manager returned to Palace last season to guide them to Premier League safety after the dismissal of Patrick Vieira.
Hodgson signed to the end of the season and left the door open to extending his stay into the new campaign.
And The Times says Palace's board have now contacted Hodgson about continuing into next season.
Hodgson has asked for time to consider the proposal. However, a decision is expected in days given preseason now looming.
