Chelsea summer signing Christopher Nkunku has insisted that he will come back stronger.
The Frenchman has undergone an operation on his knee that will keep him out for a few months.
Nkunku, who the club agreed to sign last summer but officially secured this summer, has not yet played for Chelsea.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram and wrote: "As you can imagine, I'm so disappointed not to be able to be with my team-mates during the start of the season.
“It's hard not to have been able to meet you guys at the Bridge. I will work hard to come back stronger. It's only a matter of time."
Nkunku was a prolific scorer and creator for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, while he also missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to injury.
