Croatia boss Bilic admits Premiership ambitions

Croatia boss Slaven Bilic admits he wants a top job in the Premiership.

The former West Ham, Everton and Croatian international defender is fast-earning a reputation as one of the brightest young coaches around and has said: "I would love the opportunity to manager in the English Premier League.

"I know from my time there as a player just how good the league is and the quality of the players in it."

Bilic looks certain to be asked by the Croatian Football Federation to stay on until the World Cup in two years time, and he added: "There is no prouder feeling than managing my country."

However, it is understood that the lure of top club management, particularly if it is in England, would be a temptation that he would find difficult to resist.
