Crisis-hit Club America go for Celta Vigo defender Nestor Araujo; Hector Moreno also on agenda

Club America are ready to splash out to reinforce their defence after a disastrous start to the LigaMX season.

Defeats to Querétaro (4-1) and Rayados (3-1) have forced America management into action.

The fallen giants are seeking a defensive reinforcement and are looking for a big name.

El Universal says top of America's shopping list is Celta Vigo stopper Nestor Araujo. The 28 year-old Mexico international has a deal with Celta to 2023.

Also being discussed inside the boardroom is an ambitious move for Hector Moreno.

The 32 year-old is currently playing in Qatar for Al Gharafa, having made the move from Real Sociedad last year.

America need to find themselves a new centre-half after losing Bruno Valdez for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
