Crewe boss Davis won't consider quitting

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he won't walk away after their 3-0 defeat to Notts County.

Despite seeing his side win just one of their opening 10 league games, the Alex boss says he will keep fighting.

On his future, Steve Davis said: "It's a really difficult time at the moment, I'm getting a little bit of criticism which I expect.

"I have to fight through it.

"I have had many messages of support and I will keep going until someone tells me otherwise.

"It's about the results - I am working with what I have got and do the best with what I've got and get the best out of the group.

"I do think there needs to be some rebuilding, I need to get some out and get some in and I'm prepared to do the rebuilding if that's what it takes.

"That's what I've said to the players, if they aren't up to it and won't run around, there's a lot out there in the second half who gave up so I think we need to do a bit of rebuilding."
