Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Jose Angel Crespo.

The 28-year-old defender has signed a three-year deal and joins from Spanish team Cordoba for an undisclosed fee.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood said: "Jose is a player who has been on our radar for some time. He is experienced and has played in La Liga and Serie A, two of the strongest leagues in Europe."
