Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle believes the club is strengthening it's ties with the fans.
Coyle made it a mission to engage with supporters' groups upon his appointment last season.
"I believe now there is a link there," Coyle told the Bolton News. "I certainly remember it from my time as a player and that's what I wanted to get back to again.
"I know the value of it. I would never ever underestimate the importance of that rapport between the football club and its fans.
"We are not there yet but slowly, bit by bit, we are building bridges and there is a coming together.
"I have said before that, particularly in the home games, we want to make sure that teams know they are in for a tough afternoon. Not only from the Bolton players but the Bolton supporters.
"Bit by bit we are slowly getting there. Apart from putting a team on the pitch, there are a million other jobs a manager has to do in terms of trying to improve your club."
