Coventry boss Robins raps Man Utd midfielder Hannibal

Coventry City boss Mark Robins has hit out at Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.

Hannibal, on-loan with Birmingham City, had only been on the pitch for twenty minutes when he got involved in an altercation with Coventry midfielder Gustavo Hamer as they tangled for the ball, which resulted in his opponent being shown a red card.

Robins accepted his midfielder 'has to learn' from his latest dismissal after appearing to kick-out at Hannibal, one that will earn him a four-game ban, but believes the United youngster played a key role in the incident.

“I didn't see it in real time," the former Manchester United striker said after the 0-0 draw. "I have seen it subsequently and it looked to me like Mejbri has grabbed hold of his legs, grabbed hold of him and then rolled and he's done whatever he has done and you can't really see from what I have looked at. But the eagle-eyed officials have seen it and seen fit to send him off. And it's violent conduct so he misses four games."
