The parents of Thibaut Courtois are unsure about his return to Chelsea.

Courtois has spent the past three seasons on-loan at Atletico Madrid.

"He's half-Spanish now, I think," says Mum Gitte, pausing to consider whether Thibaut would want to move to Chelsea next season. "He has to see what Chelsea say now. For him I think it's most important he plays for a beautiful club with a beautiful team and as high as possible."

Dad Thierry, a man of few but carefully considered words, interjects.

"Lots of his career he's going to live in Spain I think,' he said. 'He could play for the next 14 years and I think most of that will be in Spain. Afterwards, I think it will be Spain again. He's happy there and he's been living there for three years. It's a nice country to live in."
