Courtois: More respect for Vini Jr and Real Madrid in Europe than Spain

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has slammed the way Vinicius Junior is treated by LaLiga refs and opposition.

Vini Jr has received 10 yellow cards this season, while he is Europe's most fouled player.

"It has been seen in Anoeta. We are easy targets, a protest and directly a yellow card, when perhaps with other teams not so much happens. But we must not give that power to those who whistle, in the end we must be calm," says Courtois before the final of the Copa del Rey against Osasuna.

"In Europe there is more respect towards Vinicius and there is more respect towards Madrid. And that shows. In the end against Chelsea there were zero problems, against Liverpool there were also zero problems and in the end they are also tough rivals. And in England they also work hard.

"I hope that Vinicius can answer with his feet as he is doing. Of the Vinicius that I met five years ago when he arrived at the one that there is now, there is a world in between. I am very happy to see him like this and I hope he can continue scoring goals and assists. This is how he is going to silence people."
