Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has backed Atletico Madrid's move for Belgium teammate Christian Benteke.

Atletico, where Courtois spent last season on-loan, see the Aston Villa striker as a replacement for AS Monaco signing Radamel Falcao.

"He's a very strong centre-forward, tall, but with very good technique and skilful with the ball at his feet," said Courtois.

"I think that he could be a great signing for Atletico. During these days with the national team and I'm going to ask him about his future."
