Jorge Luis Pinto has ended his role as Costa Rica national team manager.
The 61-year old Colombian tactician has stepped down as Los Ticos boss despite the Central American team's surprise quarter-final showing at the 2014 World Cup.
Pinto said it was a difference of opinion with the Costa Rican Football Association which led to his decision.
"I realised I would not be able to count on conditions to carry out my work," he said in a statement on his own personal website.
"So it wasn't possible to reach an agreement to renew my contract."
Pinto, who has also coached his native Colombia, took charge of Los Ticos for a second time in 2011 after initially becoming manager in 2004.
