Diego Costa took part in training with the Chelsea first team on Tuesday as the likelihood of a move to China dwindled, reports the Press Association.
PA Sport understands Costa was fully involved as his Chelsea team-mates returned following two days off after Saturday's win at Leicester.
Costa had been heavily linked with a move to the Chinese Super League but the owner of CSL side Tianjin Quanjian's said their bid to sign Costa had been hampered by new rules restricted the number of foreign players.
Head coach Antonio Conte said the 28-year-old striker was absent from that game with a back problem which saw him miss three days of training last week.
Chelsea said that his solitary training sessions on Sunday and Monday were linked to his recuperation.
