Copenhagen loan signing McKenna: I have no Forest regrets

FC Copenhagen loan signing Scott McKenna admits he's played his last game for Nottingham Forest.

McKenna is off contract at the end of the season from Forest.

He told Bold: "My contract expires in the summer, it seemed that I would not get a longer agreement. They therefore decided to go for players who would be there for a longer period of time.

"It was difficult. In those three and a half years I got close to a lot of people who were all around me and supported me when I wasn't playing.

"Of course, I would have liked it to have ended on different terms, but that's how football is. You don't always get what you want.

"I still came in every day and trained to the best of my ability. There was no need to be in a bad mood. I still wanted the team to do well.

"The finish was disappointing, but all in all I just want to look at the success we had and how much I enjoyed my time there.

"When I arrived, we didn't do very well in the Championship, and within two seasons we were in the Premier League.

"It was only something I could dream of before I came to Nottingham Forest. So although it was a difficult few months, my time at the club was excellent."
