Gary Bowyer heaped praise on Craig Conway and Alex Baptiste following Blackburn Rovers' loss to Liverpool in the FA Cup.
The Championship club were eliminated after their quarter-final replay reverse at the hands of the Reds but not for the efforts of midfielder Conway and central defender Baptiste who struggled with injuries pre-game.
Bowyer said of the pair: "And Craig Conway, I can't speak highly enough of him as he shouldn't have been out on the pitch.
"To get fit is nothing short of outstanding and he's a credit to himself and a great example to everyone at the club.
"And it's the measure of Baps (Baptiste) that he wanted to play on. He was playing on one leg but we had to drag him off because he didn't want to come off."
Philippe Coutinho scored the only goal of the contest at Ewood Park as Rovers' fairytale cup run came to an end in front of more than 28,000 supporters in Lancashire.
