Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta insists midfielder Angelo Palombo is not for sale.

He said: "This is a guy who is liked by many clubs, but we will consider a possible sale only in the event of an extraordinary offer. He's admired by Inter, but other clubs also want him.

"I will not talk of flags, because this term is now in disuse, but we rely on him for the future and I will be happy if he decides to stay with us for a long time."
