Rijkaard said: "I accept the critics and work to always meet expectations. Nothing surprises me in football any longer.

"I don't feel I am being questioned.

"I do get annoyed that the press and critics continue to talk about last season.

"For me, last season no longer exists. It's normal people criticise after two draws, but we were coming off international week and that needs to be taken into consideration."
