McGeady pledges future to Celtic

The winger, 22, was voted both SPL Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year by his fellow professionals at an awards ceremony in Glasgow, having already been named top young player by SPL sponsors Clydesdale Bank.

"I'm still contracted here for the next three years," he pointed out.

"I'm developing as a player here and I've got the right people around me and I'm playing with the right players.

"I can see myself here for the near future anyway."

McGeady believes he is finally beginning to fulfil his potential after long being regarded as one for the future.

He said: "When I came into the team I struggled with consistency - maybe going through three or four months having a good spell and then a few months of not being at my best.

"This season, I've had more consistency."
