Livingston chairman Angelo Massone has launched legal action against former club owner Pearse Flynn, says the Scottish Sun. It is understood that a number of small creditors have tried to recover the club's unpaid debts which are believed to have originated from when Flynn was in charge.
Massone took over in June and has poured cold water on rumours that the club is in financial difficulty.
"If you are asking me if Livingston are having financial problems, definitely not. It is total rubbish," insisted Massone.
"The club is stable. Since we came in the debt has been reduced by a large amount. The problem is there are unpaid debts from the time of Pearse Flynn and I have started legal action over this.
"I am not worried about it. It is in the hands of my lawyers."
"The situation here is totally normal, I don't have a problem," added Massone.
