The former Hearts player had been caretaker manager at Tynecastle since January but was recently put on gardening leave and he officially left the club on Wednesday.
Frail said: "My time in charge of Hearts has really whetted my appetite and I'll weigh up any job that's offered or becomes available."
The 38 year old was disappointed to leave Hearts but is determined to move on and seek work elsewhere.
He told the Daily Record: "Some people have asked if I'm wary about continuing in football after events of the last six months but my feelings are the exact opposite. I've more desire than ever before to succeed.
"I'm saddened and disappointed to leave Hearts but the club have explained they want to go down a different route with another manager and that's football."
