Claudio Ranieri is maintaining that all he wants is to improve on last year's third position in Serie A. "I have always said that we must try to improve on our 3rd place from last season - winning the Serie A is something I have never spoken of," Ranieri told Radio Deejay.

We are enjoying a fine time at the moment with our seven consecutive victories, which follows 20 days where we weren't ourselves," Ranieri said, referring to a poor run of form which included losses to Palermo and Napoli.

Ranieri claims that the return to Champions League football after two seasons took some time to get used to, especially the regular midweek matches.

"We suffered in the early stages of trying to get back into life in Champions League and to playing every three days. But we have since rediscovered our rhythm.
