Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is insistng Harry Kane report back to training on schedule after England's World Cup elimination.
The Daily Mail says Kane has been given a week to overcome the heartache of his World Cup penalty miss as the England captain prepares himself for a return to domestic action.
Kane and his international team-mates returned home from Qatar on Sunday, the day after the quarter-final loss to France in which Kane missed a late spot kick to equalise.
The striker was visibly emotional after the final whistle - but Kane only has seven days to get over the disappointment with his return to Tottenham scheduled for Monday, December 19.
Tottenham face Brentford on Boxing Day.
Spurs head coach Conte will talk to Kane upon his return to check the 29-year-old's state of mind following what will have been an emotional week.
Kane admitted straight after England's defeat that the pain of missing his penalty and losing to France will 'hurt for a long time.'
But Spurs need Kane firing on all cylinders when the season restarts as they push for Champions League qualification.
