Chelsea are jumping into the battle for Inter Milan veteran Andrea Ranocchia.

Inter chief Piero Ausilio has confirmed they're prepared to sell Ranocchia this month.

And Sportmediaset says Conte is driving the deal at Chelsea, where he hopes to welcome the former Bari stopper in the next couple days.

Ranocchia is now mulling over whether to chance his arm and move abroad, having played his entire career in Italy.

West Ham and Watford are keen, but Chelsea's interest has changed everything for the defender.
