Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted his side showed strong mentality to come away with a 1-1 draw at Burnley on Sunday.
The Premier League leaders scored early through Pedro before Robbie Brady scored a lovely free-kick to equalise for the Clarets at Turf Moor.
Just before half-time, Thibaut Courtois made a vital save to deny Matt Lawton which was the kind of focus and attention that allowed the team to avoid defeat on what was a tough afternoon in Lancashire.
"Our goalkeeper stayed there to make the save but they created the situation with long balls and by fighting," said Conte.
"Anything can happen in that situation and we know that. If you are not ready to fight at the same level you can lose. We paid great attention and with our mentality we are disappointed to only take one point and not three."
He added: "You can find it difficult because the pitch is small, which is better for the team who wants to defend and play long balls.
"You have less pitch to cover and the atmosphere with the supporters is good. It's right to have that type of atmosphere for Burnley."
