Antonio Conte will take Chelsea to court over his unpaid salary.
The Italian's lawyers have been working one two seperate cases; one for an employment tribunal and the other for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Chelsea have attempted to avoid a legal battle with Conte, who was sacked as manager in the summer. But Conte has refused to attend any meetings with his former club, according to Sky Sports.
Reports in the English press claimed this week that Conte was £8.7m worth of damages on top of his remaining year's salary of £11.3m.
However, Chelsea have refused to buckle due to Conte's behaviour during his two year stint in west London. The club have reportedly cited his treatment of Diego Costa and failing to attend sponsorship as some examples of his behaviour.
