Arsenal trumped Everton and AC Milan for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac this week, it has been revealed.
Kolasinac has reportedly agreed a Bosman deal with the Gunners.
And Sky Italia reporter Fabrizio Romano says AC Milan also had a deal in place before Arsenal outbid them.
Romano tweeted: “#Arsenal made an important bid (more than Everton!) to Sead Kolasinac and he'll become new Gunners player. Everton are "surprised"
“Everton were sure to get Kolasinac on free transfer. Arsenal made a new bid and signed him. His contract with Schalke expires on June.
“Kolasinac, what a story. Agreement with AC Milan; then advanced talks with Everton; today, he decided to sign for #Arsenal after a super-bid.
"Kolasinac will have an important salary at Arsenal. That's why he accepted over Everton and AC Milan talks."
