Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama isn't surprised big European clubs are watching Porto star James Rodriguez.

Valderrama is a big fan of his countryman, who was watched by Manchester United on the weekend.

"James is doing very well in the role of playmaker. He has been doing a very good job. I am one of his admirers and defenders in Colombia for his style (of play) and what he has done in his short career," enthused Valderrama.
