Collymore fears Young's Man Utd career diving to inescapable depths

Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore fears Ashley Young's Manchester United career is on an irretrievable slide. Collymore wrote in the People: "Ashley Young's fall from grace has been painful to watch.

"And I am concerned that the next time he dives he might find that he lands in the Championship.

"Everyone is slating him for play-acting - but there is no sign of him changing his ways.

"And there are two major reasons why I believe he will continue to go to ground too easily.

"Firstly, Sir Alex Ferguson gave him a warning about diving, and Young did not stop.

"The second is that new boss David Moyes then gave him a grilling over the issue ... and he still cannot stop.

"Those two facts indicate that this is a horrible habit that Ash simply cannot break. It has become part of his DNA."
