Collison returns to aid West Ham's fight against relegation

Jack Collison, whilst delighted to return after long term injury for West Ham, knows that Premiership survival is the main priority. The Welshman returned from more than a year on the sidelines when he made an appearance as a second-half substitute in Saturday's draw with Blackburn.

The 22-year-old said in The Sun: "It was great to be back on the pitch, but it would have been nice to get the three points we needed.

"The first three months after my knee operation I was laid in bed for eight hours a day on a machine just trying to bend my leg again.

"But it's not about me now. It's all about the team and keeping West Ham in the Premiership.

"It's a massive task to stay up. We've talked all season about how we're good enough to get out of it and now it's time for the talking to stop."
