Coleman won't rule out Southampton job

Chris Coleman has refused to rule himself out of the running for the Southampton job, but he says he is in no hurry to return to management.

The former Fulham boss has returned to Britain after he quit his job as coach of Real Sociedad earlier this month.

But Coleman was coy over whether he would be interested in Southampton if they approached him.

"I think Southampton is a very, very good club," Coleman told Sky Sports News.

"It's got all the traits of a Premier League club. Lovely stadium, big fan base, good traditions.

"I've not put myself forward for the Southampton job and I've not been approached to do the Southampton job.

"The only thing I'm looking forward to is going on holiday with my family.

"I don't see myself managing any club until after I come back from that.

"The truth is that I've not put myself forward for the job, I've not been approached by Southampton and if I'm honest, at this moment, it's not something that I'm thinking 'I hope I get that job'."
