Coleen Rooney to leave England for Barbados

Coleen Rooney is set to leave the country as news continues to break around her Manchester United playing husband Wayne Rooney.

The London Evening Standard reports sources said yesterday the 24-year-old might fly out to Barbados to collect her thoughts in the wake of husband Wayne's alleged fling with a £1,200-a-night prostitute.

Rooney is preparing for England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland tonight, following allegations he had sex with 21-year-old Jennifer Thompson while his wife was pregnant.

The Rooneys will be bracing themselves for further revelations, after claims today that another woman is set to go public, alleging that she joined the footballer and the prostitute in a threesome.

Mrs Rooney and her 10-month-old son Kai are believed to be staying at the home of her parents Tony and Colette McLoughlin in Formby, Merseyside. Her family are said to be encouraging her to escape the attention in the UK by flying out to Barbados, where the couple own a £5 million house.

Mrs Rooney has frequently been spotted holidaying there with her husband or relatives.

The couple's house is situated on the island's 500-acre Royal Westmoreland development, where they headed after England's exit from the World Cup.

PR guru Mark Borkowski said heading for a "safe haven" was an understandable tactic. "You do need to escape.

"It's common sense - not just from the media but from life."
