Cole: If Isak could stay fit for Newcastle...

Former Newcastle United hero Andy Cole has spoken about the impact of Alexander Isak.

The Swedish forward is one short of hitting 20 goals in all competitions this season.

Isak, who has not always been fully fit, is seen as someone who can improve even more by Cole.

“If it's true that they may need to sell him, then they will be bitterly disappointed to lose him," ex-Magpies and Manchester United forward Cole told Betfred.

"I really do like Isak and I think he's a fantastic player but the only problem with him is his injury record. I don't think he's played 10 games on the bounce, but if you could get him to play 10 to 15 games on the bounce, he could make any team better because I rate him so highly.

"He's gone to Newcastle, he's done extremely well there, he's scored goals and when he's fit and playing well, he can play centre-forward, he can cut-in from the left, so if he does move on, which I would be very surprised to see, he would make any team better."
