Colchester are set to secure hot prospect Medi Elito to a pro contarct.

The teenager is admired by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, but will kickoff his career with Colchester.

"Medi has got to where he is through a lot of hard work, but there is also a lot of hard work for him to do still," youth team boss Joe Dunne told the club's official website.

"He is an example to all young players who strive something, considering the background he comes from."
