Stoke City chairman Peter Coates is happy to stay.
Coates, aged 74, has confirmed he is happy to remain as chairman and has no thoughts of retirement.
He told The Sentinel: "No, I have no plans for that.
"But I would like to say I get immense help, not just from full-time people at the club, but also from my son, John, who has tremendous football knowledge concerning players and football matters in general.
"We do things between us and so I don't want to underestimate for a second his contribution."
