Cluj 1-1 Roma: Italians qualify despite conceding late goal

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Italian outfit AS Roma have pushed into the second phase of the Champions League thanks to a 1-1 draw in Romania with CFR Cluj.

Marco Borriello put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute with a well-taken shot after being played in by Fabio Simplico but the home side were able to cancel that goal out with two minutes left through Lacina Traore’s header.

Roma finished on 10 points in Group E, five behind leaders Bayern Munich, whilst Cluj were consigned to bottom place with four points, narrowly missing out on the Europa League.
