Dutch midfielder Jordy Clasie is likely to make his Southampton debut on Saturday against Leicester City after finally regaining full fitness.

Clasie has been troubled with injuries since moving to St Mary's from Feyenoord in the summer, but manager Ronald Koeman confirmed in his pre-game press conference that the 24-year-old was available for selection after injuring his hamstring in a Europa League fixture in July.

Koeman said: "It's important for him to be 100 per cent physically. If he's okay he brings cleverness to the team, in his passing, in his pressing, that we need."

"I don't think he's ready for 90 minutes but he needs game time to be an important player for us."
