West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke is eager to see Gareth McAuley secured to a new deal.
His current deal runs out in 14 months' time and the Northern Ireland defender is unhappy with the wages on offer so far.
Clarke said: "I want him to get the deal he deserves.
"But it's not my department. I leave that to other people.
"I'd like to think that Gareth McAuley will be with Albion next season."
