Lee Clark was absolutely delighted to be officially unveiled as Birmingham City's new manager today.
The 39-year old former Newcastle United, Sunderland and Fulham midfielder has been appointed as replacement for Chris Hughton, who left St Andrew's for Norwich City, and he is hoping to build on the clubs Championship play-offs finish last season.
"They have passionate supporters, whenever I've been here as a player or a coach, so they were all the attractions for me to come to the football club.
"Also what Chris achieved with his players and the staff around the football club last season, they had a terrific season and I need to carry on that momentum.
"They just got [people] talking about the football here, not about anything else and that's what Chris created with his players.
"And also the team behind the team, the people in the offices at the football club, I've got to know them over the past couple of weeks since I have been in dialogue so I understand why it was very good last season.
"I'm looking to carry on that momentum but also maybe get that little bit of luck that Chris and the lads didn't get to kick them over the line.""I'm absolutely delighted to be the manager here; it's a fantastic club with a great history," he told Sky Sports News.
