AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has signed a new deal.

Abbiati has been given a new one-year contract.

“Today, Abbiati has extended his relationship with Milan," the statement announced, confirming the deal will run until June 30, 2016.

“He suffered a lot due to the performances of the team last season, and has a huge desire to take revenge.

“He's eager to train, to work as hard as he can, but also, as he's never hidden, to be ready to play."
