Chris Herd insists Aston Villa aren't about to allow their season to peter out.

Herd insists Villa are still determined to accumulate as many points as possible this term.

"We feel like we've been playing well in games and competing strongly," he told Villa's website. "Our aim now is definitely to push up the table as high as we can.

"We played well against Fulham and in the end we got our just reward.

"We know we have the players to get some wins and really push on from here, so that's what we're aiming for between now and the end of the season.

"The Bolton game is one we're looking forward to and we'll try to secure another good result."
