Portland Timbers has signed a deal with local chocolatier Woodblock Chocolate, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The husband-and-wife-run outfit will create and market a Timbers bar for distribution at the team's Providence Park home ground and across the city of Portland.
As part of the deal, Woodblock and the Timbers are running a 'golden ticket' promotion in which five random bars contain chits for prizes including Timbers merchandise and more chocolate.
"The Timbers bar has been crafted with the fans in mind," said Charley Wheelock of Woodblock Chocolate. "The flavour profile is a toasty caramel note of Peruvian cacao, earthy plum flavours of Ecuador, combined with salt and crunchy nibs."
