Chivas USA starlet Caleb Calvert has been named the U15/16 National Player of the Year out of the West Conference.
The homegrown product clinched the award after scoring 22 goals in 27 matches during the 2012/13 season in the U17/18 and U15/16 age groups.
"I feel honored and proud because of the place that I came from and the guys I played with," said Calvert about his award.
"My teammates are the ones who helped me get this award, and who helped me play at the highest level I can possibly play. I just want to thank them, because they are the one who helped me get where I am today, something that I still can't believe.
"Personally it means I have achieved something I thought I wouldn't have accomplished in quite a while and I'm just shocked and amazed by it. Now I want to use this as stepping stone, move forward and get better."
