Chivas USA signs ex-Cologne youth Dunn

Chivas USA has announced that they have signed midfielder Matthew Dunn.

The 20-year old midfielder joins the Goats after playing under head coach Wilmer Cabrera in the US U17 national team.

Formerly a youth academy member with Germany's FC Cologne, Dunn has also spent time with Serbian club OFK Beograd. He played in all four matches in the 2011 U17 FIFA World Cup in Mexico under Cabrera.

"Matt is a young player who has been developed at the international level in Germany, Serbia and Switzerland, as well as in the United States," said Cabrera.

"His ability to adapt to different environments and styles has allowed him to learn how to read the game very well. His knowledge, together with his good pace, touches on the ball and eagerness to help win the ball will be key to our team's success moving forward."
