Socceroos midfielder Scott Chipperfield will undergo a medical with potential new club Hertha Berlin.

The FC Basel star has been struggling with a foot injury recently and Hertha officials want to cover all bases before they sign him on loan.

The 33-year old is expected to join the Bundesliga club until the end of the season but has the option of a further if form permits.
