Chicago Fire striker Nemanja Nikolic is a surprise target for Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail says Palace are among the English clubs to have checked on prolific Hungary striker Nikolic.

The 32-year old is a free agent after his contract finished with Chicago Fire in the MLS.

Nikolic won the MLS Golden Boot in 2017 and finished a three year spell in the US boasting 51 goals in 96 appearances for Fire on the back of 40 in 54 at previous club Legia Warsaw.

Greek side Olympiakos and Besiktas from Turkey have both discussed offering him a contract but Nikolic is keen to test himself in England.
