Chivas Guadalara midfielder Ramon Morales is interesting Chicago Fire.

The Mexico international is on the shopping list of new Chicago Fire coach Carlos de los Cobos.

Morales, 34, has spent most of his career with Chivas, but announced last week that he would be leaving the club with six months left on his contract.

"We arrived at a solution in relation to the contract that we had," Morales said recently. "I thank the teams that asked and made offers to me like Chivas USA.

"This is my decision; looking at the choices, I decided not to take any and we resolved my contract. I'll be inactive for six months but I'll continue to prepare and train for what's next. This is not my retirement."
