Chester sees Plymouth move as stepping stone to Man Utd first team

Manchester United defender James Chester sees his loan move to Plymouth Argyle as a stepping stone into the first team at Old Trafford.

He said: "From the first day of the season, when I spoke to the boss at United [Sir Alex Ferguson], he told me that his aim for me this season was for me to go out on loan and play in the Championship.

"I've been waiting to find the right club, and so here I am," he added. "Sir Alex said that I'd done well at Peterborough. I was there for a month, and I played five games in League One. It was a good experience for me, and I felt comfortable at that level, but he [Ferguson] wanted me to be challenged at the next level."
