Cheltenham boss Yates says Birmingham keeper Butland good enough for England

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is happy to see Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland win his shock England Euros call.

Butland's only taste of first team football was with Cheltenham last season in League Two.

Yates said: "He will handle it, no problem. There will be no difficulty with him being able to cope with it.

"Physically he is a strong boy, but mentally he is, too. He will love it, to be honest. I can see him rising to the challenge.

"He came to us as a young boy, but from the moment he got into the dressing room he wasn't frightened in any way by the environment. He relished it."
